Trip to Water Kingdom

Woke up at 8:00 in the mornin.....that was the first time i got up this early in a very vrey long time......i had to cancel my second trip to alibag for water kingdom......called up so many ppl to ask whether they wanna come to the theme park or not.......couldnt rope in anyone for the trip from my hostel as well as from Panditha Rama Bhai(girl's hostel).........met fellow FMSites at the Church gate station at 10:00 to take a train to Borivilli from where one has to take an auto to the stinking ferry point....then a 10 minutes ferry ride and then there u are on the island of essel world and water kingdom.......the ferry ride doesnt beckon coz of the stinking lake and the uge garbage dumpsite in the background......... there are frequent ferries plyin to take the visitors to the park....so no prob in gettin to the park.....

on the train bought two marvels of science infact one is a marvel of physics - a top and the other is a marvel of chemistry - a magic pen........

after the checking in, locking the stuff and showering we took our first steps into the water kingdom barefoot....the sun was beating down and the floor was hot.......the first attraction is a lake kind of place where they create artificial waves.....the deepest part is supposed to be 6 feet...but i dont think so bcoz i did not get submerged there......

the next attraction was a slide in which u lie down on a mat and this mat slides down......was nt very impressive or scarry......the nest one was a ride in which two ppl sit on a float and do a rafting act........wasnt very impressive aswell....the uneventful ride was punctuated by some butt aching incidents........the ride ended with me capsizing my partner in the waters.......

we tried to satisfy our hunger in a pool side restaurant by eatiing biriyani and rolls.....the high point was the free pepsi......

after a heavy lunch we choose a not so tiring ride.......a float ride around the park......

i lost my group in this ride and couldnt wait for them anymore so went on myself to the missisippi hills......there were five attractions in here.........everythin crowded......the only not so crowded was the 90 degree slide......u slide on a 75 degree fibre platform at breakneck speed (actually breakballs speed)........its probably called rushing hushin......the platform was yellow in colour......ppl were refering to it as " The Yellow wala"....the red wala whic was next to the yellw one gives u the feelin of u flyin in the air for a milli second or so....ooh scarry!.....

then my grp joined me for a cobra ride.....basically slide which curls here and there....this was too slow to create any excitement.....some of my heavy friends had to walk out of it midway.......

the yellow and the red walas were revisited with the group......and are easily the best rides in the park....

i had to go alone for the black demon ride......... this ride was good.... while my group ppl were watching the live performance by some hindi pop singers and an european dance grp......i joined them a little later and danced till 5:30....... the place was lookin like a "MTV GRIND" kind of place......with semi naked drenced men and women dancing......

then we took back the ferry after lots of samosas..........

overall the trip was good and i was feelin very tired when i returned back to the hostel....so slept early at 12:30....
